초록
This study aimed to analyze the effects of AI-based speaking practice on the speaking anxiety and affective development of learners of Korean as a Foreign Language (KFL). A mixed-methods design combined quantitative data from surveys with qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews. Results from the paired-sample t-test revealed a general decline in speaking anxiety, though only one item showed statistically significant improvement. Nonetheless, all interview respondents reported increased comfort and confidence when speaking Korean, suggesting the AI-based environment provided a psychologically safe space for oral practice. The study's limitations include a small sample size, short intervention period, and limited generalizability, which should be addressed in future research.
