초록
This research aims to investigate learning effects of using AI-driven devices in language learning, with a specific focus on speaking skills. Two primary AI-driven devices, Clova Note and ChatGPT 3.5, serve as complementary teaching tools. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study integrates both qualitative and quantitative analyses. The qualitative analysis involves exploring participants' expectations and perspectives on assisted learning through semi-structured interviews. Additionally, quantitative analysis is conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire and results from official English language proficiency tests (OPI and ALCPT). For this study, thirty nine military personnel participated who took an intensive language course. Findings suggest that combined complementary learning methods can optimize learners' learning outcomes. The study concludes with pedagogical implications drawn from the results.
