초록
Electric vehicles must consider a low body design to reduce air resistance and lightweight construction to maximize energy efficiency. To achieve lightweight construction of the vehicle frame, it is essential to reduce the weight of the lower body components, particularly the suspension module. There is a need for the localization of a new suspension system that meets the unique shape and dynamic requirements specific to electric vehicles. Among these components, the insulator inner core is applied to various parts that make up the frame, such as the suspension arms, to reduce the impact and noise from the road during driving. This contributes to enhancing ride comfort and stability in handling. In this study, the process of manufacturing metal components for existing injection-molded products was researched to create an integrated inner core using forging manufacturing technology. This approach allows for functional improvements regarding the breakage of the inner core. Additionally, the production of parts with enhanced dimensional precision enables the uniform distribution and dispersion of loads generated during vehicle operation. Particularly, the analysis of stress and load generated during the forging process revealed that the highest stress occurred in the flash region, while the inner part used in the product exhibited relatively lower stress levels. Additionally, it was noted that the load due to forging during the forming stage was evaluated to be 591 tons.
