초록
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the color of single-shade composite resin based on the restoration thickness using photoanalysis. Ninety Class V cavities were prepared on artificial central incisors with various shades (A1, A2, and A3) and thicknesses (1, 2, and 3 mm) and restored with a single-shade composite resin (OM - Omnichroma) and a multi-shade composite resin (Z350 - Filtek Z350XT) (n = 5). The shade was measured using two evaluation methods: photoanalysis and spectrophotometry. For photoanalysis, digital photographs of each specimen were taken under standardized settings. In spectrophotometry, a portable intraoral spectrophotometer (VITA Easyshade V) was used. CIELab coordinates were recorded, and color difference (ΔE00) was calculated using the CIEDE-2000 formula. The experimental data were statistically analyzed using three-way ANOVA and intraclass correlation coefficient. Photoanalysis and spectrophotometry showed a high agreement with a concordance above 0.9. In all shades and restoration thicknesses, the ΔE00 of the single-shade composite resin was significantly higher than that of the multi- shade composite resin (p<0.05). In the OM group, all values were significantly higher than acceptability threshold of 1.8. In the Z350 group, all values were significantly higher than the perceptibility threshold of 0.8 but significantly lower than the acceptability threshold of 1.8. The change in restoration thickness had no significant effect. Within the limitations of this study, the single-shade composite resin showed lower color matching compared to the multi- shade composite resin, regardless of thickness variation. Photoanalysis was found to be a reliable method for shade evaluation.
