이제 대학의 비교과 교육은 전공 교육, 교양교육과 더불어 분명한 체계를 갖춘 하나의교육과정으로 나아가고 있다. 비교과 프로그램이 학생들의 핵심역량을 실질적으로 강화할수 있는 중요한 교육 방법이자 도구임을 인식하고 그 체계를 갖추기 위한 움직임이 뚜렷하게 일어나고 있는 것이다. 이러한 흐름에 기대 이 연구에서는 지속발전 가능한 대학 비교과교육 체계 구축을 위하여 대학 비교과 교육과정 표준 모델을 개발하고 제안하는 것에 목표가 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구는 전국 4년제 대학에서 운영 중인 비교과 프로그램을 조사하고, 운영목적이 유사한 프로그램을 유형별로 분류하였다. 그리고 이를 한국교양기초교육원에서 제안한 교양기초교육의 표준 모델을 기반으로 재구조화하여 대학 비교과 교육과정 표준 모델을 제안하였다. 이러한 연구는 앞으로 다양하게 발전하고 변주할 대학 비교과 교육의 지적 지형을 구축하는 일이라는 점에서 의의가 있다고 할 것이다.
Abstract
The university’s extracurricular education is now moving toward a single curriculum with a clear system, along with major and liberal arts education. Recognizing that extracurricular programs are important educational methods and tools that can substantially strengthen students’ core competencies, movements are clearly taking place to establish the system. Expecting this trend, the study aims to develop and propose a standard model for university comparison and curriculum for building sustainable university comparison and education systems. To this end, the study investigated extracurricular programs operated by four-year universities nationwide, and classified programs with similar operational purposes by type. We also proposed a standard model for university comparison and curriculum by restructuring it based on the standard model of the university’s cultural basic education. Such research is meaningful in that it is to build an intellectual landscape of comparison and education that will develop and vary in various ways in the future.
