대학 교양교육에서 영화교육의 양상 -목원대 교양과목을 중심으로-

본 연구의 목적은 대학 교양교육에서 영화교육의 양상을 살펴봄으로써 영화교육의 확산형태를 확인하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 기존에 연구된 자료를 통해 교양교육에서 영화교육의역할을 확인하고, 이들 선행연구에서는 영화적 텍스트를 특정 주제와 관련해서 시각적 흥미와 관심을 유동하는 기폭제로 사용하고 있다. 이러한 흐름을 보았을 때, 영화교육의 패러다임은 크게 영화를 통한 교육과 영화에 대한 교육으로 구분될 수 있다. 이러한 구분에 따라, 목원대 교양교육에서 영화교육의 흐름도 이 두 가지 관점으로 살펴보고 있다. 이러한 경향을 반영하듯 목원대 교양교육은 영화교육의 두 층위가 모두 나타나는 데 유의미적이라고 말할 수 있다. 특정 패러다임만 제시된다면 교양교육에서 영화교육은 그 균형을 잃게 된다. 영화에 대한 교과목과 영화를 통한 교과목이 일정한 비율로 나타나고 있으며. 그 균형성을 적절하게 유지하고 있다. 교과목의 수를 넘어서 각 강좌에서 제시된 접근방법이 영화를 통한 것인지, 또는 영화에 대한 것이 명확하게 구분되기 때문이다. 그리고각 교과목의 성격과 연결 지어 영화를 활용하는 수업에서부터, 영화에 대한 이해, 1인 미디어를 제작하는 과정까지 매우 다양한 영화교육의 스펙트럼을 보여주고 있다. 그리고 더 구체적으로 강의계획서가 제시된다면 해당 강좌의 특징을 이해하는데 더 많은 도움이 될 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to confirm the spread of film education by examining the aspects of film education in university liberal arts education. For this purpose, the role of film education in liberal arts education is confirmed through the data previously studied. In these previous studies, cinematic texts are used as a catalyst to stimulate visual interest and interest in relation to a specific topic. In view of this trend, the paradigm of film education can be largely divided into teaching through film and teaching about film. According to this classification, the flow of film education in the liberal arts education at Mokwon University is looked at from these two perspectives. As if reflecting this trend, it can be said that the liberal arts education at Mokwon University is meaningful in that both layers of film education appear. If only a specific paradigm is presented, film education loses its balance in liberal arts education. Subjects on film and subjects through film appear in a certain ratio. It maintains that balance properly. This is because, beyond the number of subjects, whether the approach presented in each course is through film or about film is clearly distinguished. In addition, it shows a very diverse spectrum of film education, from classes that use films in connection with the characteristics of each subject, understanding films, and the process of one-person media production. And if the syllabus is presented in more detail, it will be more helpful in understanding the characteristics of the course.
