Abstract
This study estimated the employment effect of government expenditure using the Input-Output table panel data from 2010 to 2019. The initial share of government expenditure by sector was used as the instrument variables. According to the estimation results, the employment effect was the largest in the research and development field, and effects on the social service (social welfare, social insurance, medical health), and industrial facility construction employments were significant. On the other hand, government spending on transportation facilities and general civil engineering facilities construction has a crowding out on private sector employment, which has reduced overall employment. The employment effects of government expenditure by sector have positive correlation with the output effects.
