미국 초중등학교에서의 디지털 튜터 운영 사례 분석

본 논문에서는 최근 국내에서 추진되고 있는 디지털 튜터 사업 운영에 대한 해외의 시사점을 도출하기 위하여 미국의 테크놀러지 보조 교사에 대한 운영 사례를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 다음과 같은 시사점을 도출하였다. 미국의 테크놀러지 보조 교사는 교육청에서 채용되고 컴퓨터 실습실 및 캠퍼스 기술의 운영 및 유지 관리와 관련된 다양한 임무를 수행하며, 독립적인 의무와 책임이 부여되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 테크놀러지 보조 교사는 전문적 자격과 교육적 경험도 갖추어야 하고 학교 근무에 적합한 건강을 유지해야 하며, 기본적인 작업 조건을 수행할 수 있어야 하는 것으로 나타났다.이와 같은 시사점들은 우리나라가 미국과는 다른 상황에 놓여있지만 향후 제도의 정착과 확대를 위해서는 위에서 제시한 시사점들을 고려할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단되었다.
Abstract
In this paper, we looked at technology assistance in the US to find implications for the operation of digital tutors. As a result, the following implications were found. American technology assistants are employed by the school board and perform a variety of duties for computer operation and maintenance. They are also assigned independent duties and responsibilities. And technology assistants must have professional qualifications and educational experience, and must be in good health suitable for school work. It has to work under basic conditions. These implications will need to be reflected in policies for the settlement and expansion of digital tutors in the future.
