전주청년회의 성격변화와 간판 철거 사건 - 기술 방법을 중심으로 -

Abstract

Youth movement takes up a large portion of the social movements during the Japanese colonial period. However, as most of the research on this period focuses on the general history and meaning of the youth movement in a specific region, the focus on the significance of individual unions has been relatively small. This is because of one of the characteristics of local individual youth unions, the lack of historical materials. Among the youth unions, newspaper articles about the formation and change of the Jeonju Youth Union are relatively more abundant. Especially, the formation of the Jeonju Youth Union and the signboard removal incident is a good example of how the nature of colonial youth unions changed during the mid-and-late 1920s. Thus, this work will focus on the change in the local youth movement through the formation of the Jeonju Youth Union and the signboard removal incident.
