청인과 청각장애학생의 수화어휘 이해력 분석을 통한 수화언어 특성

본 연구에서는 수화언어가 갖는 특성을 살펴보고자 청인과 청각장애학생의 수화어휘 이해력을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 청인 10명과 청각장애학생 10명을 대상으로 하였으며, 연구방법으로 한국표준수용어휘력검사의 어휘를 수화로 동영상을 제작하여 수용어휘력을 조사하였다. 결과자료는 독립 t 검증과 one-anova로 처리하였다. 연구 결과, 청인과 청각장애학생의 수화어휘 이해력은 청인이 55점, 청각장애학생이 75점으로 청각장애학생의 이해력이 높았다. 또한 집단간 어휘 품사에서도 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그러나 각 집단에서 어휘품사 간에서는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 따라서 청각장애학생이 사용하는 수화는 사물이 갖는 상징적인 이미지 표현이 많은 도상성으로 인해 청인들도 이해하기가 쉽다. 수화의 도상성은 초기 수화언어수준에 해당되며, 수화언어가 발달함에 따라 수화언어가 갖는 의미적 규약성을 갖는 자의성 수화언어가 증가할 것으로 사료된다.
Abstract
This study was to find features for sign language(SL) hearing impaired person used. Ten hearing and 10 hearing impaired students participated and evaluated through SL vocabulary test transfer vocabulary at Korea Standard Reception Vocabulary Battery to SL moving picture. Data was deal with independent t-test and oneway-ANOVA. The results were reception vocabulary ability of normal hearing was 55 and that of hearing impaired students was 75. At parts of vocabulary(word class) was also higher hearing imparied students' scores than normal hearing scores significantly. But there was not significant different among parts of vocabulary at each groups. We know that SL has symbols representative of objets and normal hearing could understand SL vocabulary because SL has iconicity feature. Generally there is a lot of iconicity of SL at easy word and arbitrariness of SL at difficult word as like metaphor or image word.
