유아 반항 행동의 종단적 변화 유형 및 초등학생의 집행기능 곤란과의 관계

초록

본 연구는 어머니에 의해 보고된 4세부터 6세까지의 반항행동의 종단적 변화궤적에 따라 잠재집단을 분류하고, 집단을 구분함에 있어 영향을 주는 변인을 밝힘과 동시에 유아의 반항행동의 잠재집단 범주화와 초등학생의 집행기능곤란 수준의 차이를 살펴봄으로써, 유아의 반항행동과 초등학생 시기의 집행기능 곤란과의 관련성을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 한국아동패널 자료 중 5차년도(2012년)부터 7차년도(2014년)의 반항행동 변인과, 5차년도 유아의 성, 기질, 5차년도부터 7차년도의 또래놀이 방해 상호작용, 어머니 우울, 양육 스트레스, 부부갈등 변인의 평균값과 8차년도의 집행기능곤란 척도를 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 반항행동은 시간의 변화에 따라 감소하는 모습을 보였고, 변화에 따른 잠재집단은 저하락 집단과 고상승집단의 2집단으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 구분된 2가지 잠재집단에 영향을 주는 변인들을 검증한 결과, 유아의 정서성과 어머니의 우울변인이 유의미하게 나타났다. 즉 유아의 부정적 정서성이 높고, 어머니가 우울할 경우, 유아의 반항행동은 점차 심각해지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아의 반항행동이 더 심해질 경우, 집행기능의 곤란이 증가되는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구는 유아의 반항행동에 대한 종단적 변화궤적에 대해 성장혼합모형을 적용하여 유아의 반항행동에 대한 이해를 넓히고 이에 따른 시사점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the subgroups in oppositional defiant behavior problems depending on child and caregiver related variables and predict the association between executive dysfunctioning and oppositional defiant behavior problems. To achieve these goals, a growth mixture model(GMM) was conducted, using data taken from the Korean Child Panel study. The major findings were as follows: First, two latent classes were identified, and negative emotionality and maternal depression were significant determinants of the latent classes. Second, increasing oppositional defiant behavior problems show higher negative emotionality and maternal depression than decreasing group. Additionally, the decreasing group had more severe executive dysfunctioning. Based on these results, implications for inclusive and democratic teaching methods and interventions were suggested.
