국가직무능력표준 (NCS)을 활용한 2년제 대학 피부미용 전공 교과 분석

본 연구는 NCS를 적용하고 있는 29개 대학을 대상으로 피부미용 전공 트랙 교과과정을 비교·분석하여 실제 NCS의 적용비율 및 적용과목들을 파악해 보고, 이를 통해 앞으로 미용교육의 방향과 보다 발전된 교육 시스템의 도약을 위한 미용 교과과정 개발 기초 자료에 활용 및 정보를 제공하고자 하였으며, 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. NCS 적용과목의 일반적 특성에서는 학년별로 1학년이 50.3% (345개 과목)로 2학년 49.7% (341개 과목)보다 많았다. 교과목구분별로는 전공이론/기초교과목이 37.2% (255개 과목)로 가장 많았으며, 전공심화교과목 27.2% (187개 과목), 교양교과목24.5% (168개 과목), 전공응용교과목 11.1% (76개 과목) 순으로많게 나타났다. 대학별 NCS 적용과목 비율은 유의한 차이가 있었으며 (p<0.05), 26대학이 평균 0.89로 가장 높았으며, 12대학은 0.45로 가장 낮았다. 대학별로 NCS 능력단위의 차이를 알아본 결과 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나 평균은 9 대학이 6.33점으로 가장 높았으며, 15대학이 3.07점으로 가장낮았다. 능력단위별 단위 수준은 1학년과 2학년 모두 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다 (p<0.001). 또한, 실장급의 5수준, 부원장급의 6수준, 원장급의 7수준의 교육이 1학년에서 이루어지고 있어 NCS에서 제시하는 능력단위 구조도 및 평생경력개발체계도와의 미스매치를 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 NCS를 적용하고 있는 2년제 대학을 대상으로 피부미용 전공 트랙 교육과정을 비교·분석함으로써 현장친화형미용 교육과정 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용 및 정보를 제공하는데 의의가 있다. 그러나 본 연구의 진행과정에서 자료수집의어려움으로 인해 29개 대학만을 분석 대상으로 하였기에 모든대학에 일반화 하는 것은 무리가 있을 수 있다. 향후 연구에서는 조사대상을 확대하여 좀 더 심층적인 분석이 이루어지고, 피부미용뿐만 아니라 헤어미용, 메이크업, 네일미용 등 다양한 미용분야에서 심도있는 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
Abstract
The Korean government is developing the national competency standards (NCS) for innovation of education and training based on the demand for industrial settings to expand business practice-oriented education. The Ministry of Education is also pushing to introduce curriculums based on NCS to improve the competitiveness of 2-year colleges as a part of the ‘specialized junior college promotion projects’. This study is intended to look into the operation status of NCSbased esthetic curriculum by determining the NCS application rate and application subjects for an esthetic major track curriculum. The survey was carried out from June 20 to August 10, 2015 at 29 out of 80 colleges which established beauty art departments as part of the 2015 ‘specialized junior college promotion projects’. These participants shared overviews of subjects from 2014 and 2015 including credit and instructional time. The number of subjects in their first year was slightly higher than that in their second year. The number of major theory and basic subjects was the highest and that of intensified major subjects was next. The number of NCS-applied subjects was higher than that of non-applied subjects. The rate of NCS-applied subjects by college was significantly different (p<0.05), while the NCS-ability unit by college was not significantly different. In addition, ability levels by NCS ability unit in both first and second years were significantly different (p<0.001).
