As the beauty industry grows, the role of beauty education institutions increases, and the needs of learners have become increased. Beauty education institutions, when the target audience is youth, should focus on helping them choose their future through career preparation, rather than just providing beauty education. This study examined the relationship between curriculum satisfaction, career preparation, and occupational and job understanding among high school students studying beauty at various institutions. This study also aimed to provide basic data on education satisfaction and career guidance for future students be comparing different educational institutions. An online survey was conducted from September 10 to October 16, 2024 targeting high school students studying at beauty high schools, beauty commissioned course institutions, and private beauty schools. In the final analysis, 329 surveys were used. Our results showed that there was a positive correlation between educational satisfaction, career preparation, and occupational and job understanding of high school students studying a beauty curriculum. In terms of differences by educational institution, private beauty schools showed the highest satisfaction score for each variable. It is a meaningful result that should be noted that curriculum satisfaction, career preparation, and occupational and job understanding were higher for students in contracted classes or private academies than for students enrolled in public beauty high schools. It is hypothesized that the 1:1 contact between students and teachers and the quick application of understanding the learners’ needs have a positive effect on student educational satisfaction, thus increasing the satisfaction over career preparation behavior, experience, and understanding of jobs. When institutions provide beauty education to younger learners, it is necessary to increase overall educational satisfaction by going beyond simple technical education and providing education on career paths and job understanding. To achieve this, it is essential to first provide training for instructors to understand career education and to develop continuous methods for guiding youth in their career development.
