어린이집 원장의 안전의식에 관한 비교 연구: 통학버스를 중심으로

본 연구는 어린이집 원장의 안전의식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 충남․북 지역에서 어린이집 통학버스를 운전하는 원장과 운전하지 않는 원장으로 집단을 나누어 분석하였고, 251명을 조사하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석을 위하여 PASW Statistics 18.0을 이용하였고, 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통학버스를 직접 운전하는 집단과 운전하지 않는 집단의 안전의식 수준은 각각 6.14 (SD=1.59)와 6.67(SD=1.63)로 나타나 통학버스를 운전하지 않는 집단이 유의미하게 더 높은 것으로 나타났다(t=-2.579, p<.01). 둘째, 조사대상자들의 안전의식에 공통적으로 영향을 미치는 요인은 안전지향동기, 어린이집의 유형, 건강상태로 나타났으며, 그 외의 영향 요인과 영향력은 집단별로 다르게 나타났다. 집단별로 다른 요인을 살펴보면, 통학버스를 직접운전하는 집단의 경우에는 경제상태, 운행지역, 개정된 도로교통법과 영유아보육법의 숙지 여부, 감각추구성향이 추가적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 어린이집의 유형, 안전지향동기가 안전의식에 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 통학버스를 운전하지 않는 집단의 경우에는 결혼상태, 보호자 등의 안전의식이 추가적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 안전지향동기, 건강상태가 안전의식에 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초하여 어린이집 원장들의 안전의식 향상을 위해 공통적으로 영향을 미치는 요인을 중심으로 개선 방안을 제시하였고, 집단별 특성에 맞추어 실질적인 방안을 추가적으로 제시하였다. 나아가 한국 사회에서 올바른 교통정책을 수립하고, 교통문화의 선진화를 이루는데 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다.
Abstract
This study has analyzed the factors that influence the safety consciousness of directors at child care centers. To achieve this, 251 directors who drives or don't drives the school bus at child care centers in Chungnam, Chungbuk area were selected as study subjects. For the data analysis, PASW Statistics 18.0 was used. The main results of this study are as follows; First, The level of safety consciousness of directors who drives school bus and directors who don't drives school bus were 6.14 and 6.67 respectively showing that directors who don't drives school bus were significantly higher. Second, the common factors affecting the safety consciousness of the two groups were safety motive, type of child care center and health status. Other influencing factors appeared to be different depending on the groups. In case of directors who drives school bus, economic status, driving area, provision acquisition and safety motive were additional important factors. For the directors who don't drives school bus, marital status, safety consciousness of caregivers additionally affected their safety consciousness. Based on these results, several ways were suggested to improve the safety consciousness of directors at child care centers and prevent the traffic accidents. We also aimed to provide the baseline data on the establishment of proper traffic policy for Korean society, and on the improvement of the traffic culture.
