여자청소년들에 대한 자기통제력, 사회적 애착 및 비행간의 관계에 관한 연구

초록

본 연구는 여자 청소년들에 대한 자기통제력과 비행간의 인과성 및 자기통제력과 사회적 애착 및 비행간의 구조적 영향관계를 살펴보는 데 목적을 둔다. 연구대상으로는 KCYPS 2018의 중1의 여자 청소년을 대상으로 분석을 시도했으며 범죄사회학 이론 알려진 Gottfredson과 Hirschi의 일반이론과 Hirschi의 사회통제이론을 통해 비행현상을 설명하고자 했다. 분석결과에 따르면 우선 자기통제력은 친구애착, 교사애착 및 부모애착에 양적으로 유의한 영향을 주었음을 알 수 있었고, 자기통제력이 각종 사회적 애착요인들에 미치는 설명력에 있어서 차이가 존재할 수 있음을 확인했다. 자기통제력과 사회적 애착요인들이 비행에 미치는 영향에 따르면 자기통제력과 친구애착의 경우 비행에 양적으로 유의한 영향을 준 반면, 여타 애착요인들의 경우엔 유의미하지 않았다. 나아가 자기통제력이 비행에 미치는 영향에 있어서 애착요인들의 간접효과를 분석한 결과, 친구애착의 간접효과는 양적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났으며 자기통제력의 직접적인 영향이 여타 애착요인들을 통한 간접적인 영향보다 상대적으로 더 높은 영향력을 지닌 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 여자 청소년들을 대상으로 비행을 예측하고자 할 때 자기통제력의 영향력에 보다 주목할 필요성을 남기며 자신을 관리·감독 할 수 있는 사회적 타자보다 오히려 또래와의 애착이 더욱 중요할 수 있음을 시사한다. 이와 관련 여자 청소년들을 대상으로한 성 차별적 비행예방 대책을 수립하고자 할 때, 자기통제력을 향상시킬 수 있는 맞춤형 조기교육과 또래와의 긍정적 상호애착을 형성할 수 있는 여건이 조성될 필요가 있을 것으로 보여진다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the causal relationship between self-control and delinquency for female youth and the structural effects among self-control, social attachment and delinquency. The study attempted to analyze female youth in the 1st grade of KCYPS 2018 and attempted to explain the delinquency phenomenon through Gottfredson and Hirschi's general theory of criminal sociology and Hirschi's social control theory. According to the analysis results, first of all, it was found that self-control had a positively significant effect on friend attachment, teacher attachment, and parent attachment, and It was confirmed that there may be differences in explanatory power of self-control on various social attachment factors. According to the effect of self-control and social attachment factors on delinquency, self-control and friend attachment had a positively significant effect on delinquency, whereas other attachment factors had no significant effect. Furthermore, as a result of analyzing the mediating effect of attachment factors in the effect of self-control on delinquency, the mediating effect of friend attachment was positively significant, and the direct effect of self-control was relatively higher than the indirect effect through other attachment factors. This study result leaves the need to pay more attention to the influence of self-control when trying to predict delinquency in female youth, suggesting that attachment with peers may be more important than social others who can manage and supervise themselves. In this regard, when establishing gender-discriminatory delinquency prevention measures, It appears that it is necessary to create customized early education for female youth to improve self-control and to form a positive mutual attachment with their peers.
