The article dwells upon teaching genre specifics and analysis of Russian lyric poetry to Korean-speaking students. The authors describe their methodical approach to teaching analysis of the Russian lyric poetry in Russian literature class to Korean-speaking students, present extracts from students’ papers on analyzing poems of V. V. Zhukovsky and S. Yesenin, and concentrate on poetic language, compositional unity, rhythmic structure of the poems under consideration
