본 논문의 연구 목적은 첫째, 아랍 문학 텍스트가 갖는 언어적․문학적․ 문화적 효용성을 고려하여 아랍어 교육 자료로서 문학 텍스트 활용의 타당성을 검토해 보고 그 필요성을 재인식시키는 데 있다. 둘째, 아랍어를전공하는 학습자들의 요구를 분석하여 학습자 중심의 자기 주도적 학습과접맥할 수 있는 ‘반응중심 이론’을 실제 아랍어 학습 상황에 적용할 수 있도록 주요 개념을 보완, 확대하여 새로운 교수·학습 방법 및 모형을 구안하여 제시하는 데 있다. 셋째, 궁극적으로는 문학 텍스트를 활용한 학습자중심의 통합적 아랍어 교수·학습 방안을 모색하는 데 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 아랍어를 전공하는 학습자들의 요구를 분석하여 문학 텍스트를 활용한 학습자 중심의 통합적 아랍어 교수·학습 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 아랍어 교수․학습 모형은 계획 단계부터 평가 단계까지 교사와 학습자가 모두 참여할 수 있도록 고안하여 학습자 중심의 아랍어 교수·학습이 되도록 하였다. 결론적으로 학습자의 반응과 문학·언어·문화라는 교수·학습 내용이 유기적으로 통합되게 함으로써 교사 중심의 읽기 교육이었던 기존의 수업을학습자 중심의 통합적 교수·학습으로 유도하는 기능을 할 것으로 평가하였다. 또한 반응중심 이론을 적용한 학습자 중심의 통합적 아랍어 교수·학습방법 및 모형을 구체적으로 제시함으로서 아랍 문학 텍스트를 효율적으로활용하는 방안을 모색해보고자 하였다. 이를 통하여 학습자와 교사 간의상호작용을 이끌어 내면서 효과적으로 아랍어 의사소통 능력을 향상시킬수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study is based on a critical mind on how Arabic education, with its goal set only on fostering communications skills that are focused on practical use, gave undue value to practical texts. It began in response to the realistic requirements for change in Arabic education due to the changes in the society and the learners. This study analyzed the needs of learners majoring in Arabic language to suggest a learner-centered integrated design of instruction and learning incorporating literary texts. Also, principles of learning and instruction and instructional models were studied based on the development of Transactional Theory, by the American critic L. M. Rosenblatt, and its basic concepts such as ‘transaction,’ ‘response to literature,’ and ‘aesthetic reading.’ This paper examined the feasibility of using literary texts as Arabic language instructional material given their linguistic, literary, and cultural effectiveness. In addition, it suggested an effective way to use Arabic literary texts by presenting concrete examples of the principles and model of the learner-centered integrated Arabic language instruction and learning adapted from the Transactional Theory effectively.
