Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to survey and analyze the Jargon of university students. Jargon is a language of special peer group in order to communicate to each other secretly. The language of peer or special groups is jargon because their members want to communicate through their special language and to hide their intentions from other people. Many people want to belong to their groups as members of their groups. However, many university students don't understand the meaning of jargon correctly. They intend to understand jargon a bad(coarse) language. They think that they are special and intellectual. For the reason of their such thought, university students' jargon is created of itself. University students think that their jargon is noble and very elegant. The creation of jargon is influenced by an internet and SNS. Nowadays, jargon of some special groups is created lively and other jargon is disappears. No matter how special jargon and peer groups' language, people including university student have to use and talk jargon not to summon a confusion each other appropriately. Jargon is a kind of language of using people. Therefore people have to understand, use and talk jargon correctly and appropriately.
