본고는 생성형 AI의 확산에 따른 시대적 요구에 부합하는 역사교육을 위해, AI를 교육 현장에서 적극적으로 수용하는 교육의 가능성을 모색해 보려는 시도이다. 우선, 본고는 국내 교양교육에서 생성형 AI의 활용에 대한 선행연구의 검토 및 수업 현장에서 학생들이 Chat-GPT 사용을 통해 느낀 문제점과 긍정적인 효과에 대한 전반적 인식을 조사, 분석한다. 아울러 각종 검증되지 않은 자료들을 비판적으로 검토하는 수업 사례를 제시하여 AI를 활용한 역사교육에 있어 교수자의 역할과 차별화된 교육 컨텐츠를 탐색한다. 이를 통해 교육 현장에서 AI를 주도적으로 활용하는 교수자의 역량의 중요성을 강조하는 한편, 학생들의 학습 동기 증진과 역량 개발을 위한 융합 교육으로서의 발전적인 역사교육의 실천적 방향성을 제시한다.
Abstract
This study explores the possibilities of history education that aligns with the demands of the era shaped by the proliferation of generative AI, focusing on the positive integration of AI into educational settings. First, it examines students' perceptions of Chat-GPT in the classroom, analyzing both the problems they experienced and the perceived benefits. Additionally, it investigates the role of instructors and differentiated teaching contents in AI-assisted history education through case studies that critically review unverified materials provided by various search engines. Ultimately, the study highlights the importance of educators' ability to actively utilize AI in teaching while proposing innovative history education practices that foster student motivation and competency development through interdisciplinary approaches.
