'읽기-말하기-쓰기' 강좌의 현장 수업 성과와 그 한계를 통한 발전 방안 모색

본고는 대학 교양 수업이 지닌 여러 문제점에 대한 성찰과 발전적 모색을 위한 제언이라 할 수 있다. 논의의 대상은 영남대학교에서 개설한『명저 읽기와 글쓰기』강좌를 통해 작성한 이공계열 학생들의 설문을 바탕으로 하고 있다. 논의를 위한 우선 작업으로 공과계열 196명의 학생들이 설문지를 통해 제시한 견해들을 읽기‧토론‧쓰기‧첨삭의 영역으로 나누어 영역별 성과와 한계를 진단하였다. 이어 영역별 성과와 한계를 바탕으로 각 영역별로 문제의 극복 방안을 제시하여 강좌 본래의 취지에 부합할 수 방안을 마련하였다. 본고는 강의 현장에서 맞닥뜨리는 문제들을 진단하여 영역별로 그 해결 방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study is a suggestion for an examination of some problems of General Studies in Universities and for a developmental way for the Studies. The discussion of this study is based on the questionnaires which students in Science and Engineering filled up for Reading of Great Books and Writing course opened in Yeungnam University. As a pre-task for carrying out a full-scale discussion, the opinions which 196 students in Engineering suggested in their questionnaires were divided by the sections of Reading, Discussion, Writing, Correction, and the achievements and limitations were diagnosed. And then, based on the achievements and the limitations by the sections, this study suggests a measure to overcome the problems by the sections, and works out a plan which accords with the original purpose of the course. This study diagnoses the problems which were faced with in actual class, and suggests a plan of solving the problems.
