설화를 통해 본 圃隱의 충절과 그 인성 교훈

본 연구의 일차적 작업은 포은 설화 가운데 그의 충절과 관련된 이야기만을 대상으로 하여 그의 충절이 어떻게 구현되었는지 밝히는 것이다. 이를 통해 그가 보여준 충절이 우리 시대 인성 교육의 바람직한 모범일 될 수 있는 가치를 찾아 시대의 참교육으로 활용하고자 하는 데 있다. 논의의 진행을 위해 충절의 의미를 밝히는 것이 우선이므로, 충절의 의미를 포은과 우리시대로 나누어 그 가치적 의미를 먼저 밝혔다. 다음으로 포은 설화 가운데 충절을 대변할 수 있는 대표적 설화를 중심으로 포은의 충절이 지닌 가치와 의미를 구체적으로 제시했다. 이어 논의된 포은 충절 설화를 바탕으로 우리 시대 인성 교훈적 측면으로 접근하였다. 대의명분과 사욕극복이란 철학적 삶의 바탕 위해서 보여준 포은 충절의 삶은 우리 시대의 인간다운 길이 무엇인지를 보여준다.
Abstract
The primary focus of this study was to investigate how Poeun's loyalty was embodied only in his tales related to his loyalty. This work intended to find values of his loyalty that would serve as desirable models for today's personality education and make use of them in true education today. An examination into the meanings of loyalty should come before a discussion. The study thus first examined the value meanings of loyalty during Poeun's days and in the present day. The study then addressed specifically the values and meanings of his loyalty with a focus on his representative tales of loyalty. Based on his loyalty tales discussed in the study, the investigator developed an approach to personality lessons today. His life of loyalty, based on the philosophical grounds of advocating a great cause and overcoming selfish interests, shows what a human path is today.
