여성과 종교개혁 이해 ― 루터와 부스의 관점에서 본 ‘오직 성서’의 의미 재해석을 중심으로

본 논고는 ‘여성과 종교개혁 이해’를 주제로 여성 참여 입장에서 여성 영역을 다루고 있다. 이 논고는 ‘성서는 성서의 해석자이다’라는관점을 가지고 루터와 부스가 사용한 ‘오직 성서’의 의미를 재해석했다. 논고에서 쓴 ‘여성 참여’란 종교개혁의 중심자였던 루터와 루터의아내 카타리나 폰 보라(Katharina von Bora, 1499~1552) 그리고 루터종교개혁 350년 이후에 그 정신을 계승했던 구세군 창립자 윌리엄부스(William Booth, 1829~1912)와 그의 아내 공동창립자 캐서린 부스(Catherine Booth, 1829~1890 ) 부부의 여성 참여를 오직 성서의 의미 재해석을 중심으로 다루었다. 본 논고에서 다루는 여성 참여의 범위는 루터 부부와 부스 부부의 개괄적인 여성 이해, 여성 영역으로서의 가정 영역과 공적 영역에 관한여성의 이해와 참여를 포함한다. 여성 참여의 이론적 토대는 ‘오직성서’(sola scriptura)를 근거로 한 전통의 재해석을 통해 여성 영역을루터 부부와 부스 부부의 삶과 실제적인 실천을 통해 살펴볼 것이다. 구체적인 의미에서 여성 참여의 범위는 공적 영역으로서의 토대인가정, 공적 영역인 교회와 사회, 더 나아가 생태학적인 영역을 살펴보았다. 더불어 루터와 부스의 접촉점으로서 ‘하나님 형상’으로서의 여성 이해, 세례의 관점에서 본 만인제사장직 이해, 전통 밖으로 나온 여성들의 여성 영역 이해, ‘여성’을 통한 이웃 사랑 이해의 관점을 가지고공통점과 상이점을 비교 분석하였다. 이런 맥락에서 본 논고는 ‘오직 성서’의 입장에서 종교개혁과 교회개혁을 추진하고자 했던 루터부부와 부스 부부의 공헌―비록 한계가 있는 공헌이었지만―을 통해 그들이 열어놓은 개혁의 창을 살펴보았다. 결론으로는 ‘성서 본래의 정신으로 돌아가자!’는 종교개혁의 정신, 즉 옳지 않은 권위에 저항하고 평등과 소통의 정신에 따라서 오늘날우리가 ‘오직 성서’―본질로서의 여성 이해와 여성 영역 확대―를한국교회와 사회에 어떻게 적용해야 하는지를 제시했다.
Abstract
This thesis is titled ‘Understanding of the Reformation about women’covers all aspects of women from a position of women participations. And with bringing a perspective of ‘Scriptura Sacra sui ipsius interpres’ in Latin which means Sacred Scripture interprets itself in english, I reinterpret Protestant Reformation’s affirmation of Sola scriptura of viewpoints from Luthers who were Martin Luther and Katharina von Bora as his wife and Booths who were William Booth as the Founder of Salvation Army and Catherine Booth as the Cofounder, also William Booth’s wife. And what is exactly ‘women participations’ in this thesis is widely of Luthers and Booths to follow the Reformation’s spirit. A range of applications of ‘women participations’ in that thesis included recapitulative understandings of women, participations of women’s fields and understandings of them which means home spheres of them and public spheres of them to be based on a study on the reinterpretation of only scripture(Sola Scriptura)’s meaning . And a theoretical basis of ‘women participations’ is Sola scriptura. And that is through a reinterpretation of tradition of the church. Through that, I search closely women’s spheres with bringing livings and practices of Luthers & Booths. Also I study home as a foundation of public spheres, church and society as public spheres, and ecological spheres as a range of ‘women participations. And then, I compare and analyze these two options to see what is the same and what is different as some point of contacts between Luthers and Booths. It is as in the following ; firstly, understandings of women who is God’s Image, secondly, understandings of priesthood of all believers in a perspective of baptism, thirdly, women’s spheres of women to be out of tradition, fourthly, understandings of love to our neighbours. In conclusion , with the spirit of the Reformation which means to protest against authority that is not right and to equal before God, I suggested today the new meaning of ‘Sola scriptura, as a reinterpretation of only scripture(Sola Scriptura)’s meaning, to churches of Korea and to society of Korea in perspectives essential understandings of women and expanding of women’s spheres not just in home sphere but in church and society, even ecological spheres.
