오늘날 창조는 가장 중요한 신학적 주제 중에 하나다. 특히 자연과학과의 대화를 통해 창조와 진화, 창조와 우주론에 대한 관심이 고조되었고 신학적인 결과물이 속출하고 있다. 현대 자연과학적 우주론에 근거하여 창조와 신의 존재를 변증하거나 해명하려는 일련의 자연신학적 시도들은 자연과학자들의 반론에 부딪힐 수밖에 없으며, 무엇보다도 신학 본연의 해석을 놓치고 만다. 본 논문은 호킹의 우주론과관련된 자연신학적 시도들의 한계를 살펴보고 삶의 신학의 관점에서창조와 연관된 교리들을 새롭게 재해석하여 창조와 삶의 연관성을 드러내고자 한다. 구체적인 삶의 현실에서 창조는 만물의 기원이 아니라새로움의 시작을 뜻하며, 과거가 아니라 미래를 지시한다. 또한 무로부터의 창조는 혼돈으로부터의 창조와 대립되지 않는다. 삶의 현실 속에서 경험되는 무는 곧 무질서이며, 혼돈으로부터 새로운 삶으로 이행되는 삶의 가능성은 곧 하나님의 창조행위인 무로부터의 창조에 있기때문이다.
Abstract
Today, the creation is one of the most important theologicalthemes. Especially because of more highly increased interest inthe dialogue between the creation and modern cosmology orevolution theory, many theological results are produced. However,when they try to associate modern cosmology and the biblical andtheological creation, they overlook the inherent relationshipbetween the creation and human life, so that they repeat the misconceivedway of old natural theology which misguidedly took thebeginning of creation as a metaphysical origin of all things. Whenthey try to explain and argue for the creation and existence of Godbased on the modern scientific cosmology, they inevitably run intoobjections by scientists that are willing to go the other metaphysicalway. This paper reinterprets the biblical, theologicalcreation under the view of theology of life which especially concentratesupon the human reality of life and brings it into the interrelation of theological concepts. God’s creation in the concretereality of life is understood not as the beginning of all things,but as an opening-event of a new dimension of life. It is a concrete,saving, promissory act. God’s act of creation is related notto the past, but to the possibility of new life that God makes open. In the viewpoint of a theology of life, the doctrine of creatio exnihilo is not contradictory with the creation from chaos. Life isfilled with the possibilities as God’s creation from the nothing thatis experienced as chaos in our life.
