Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to explore Christian beliefs and practices in an era of pandemic-accelerated De-religionization and De- christianization. The pandemic has led to widespread De-religionization as well as De-christianization. We can take the strategy of adhering to existing practices, but in reality, we seem powerless. At this point, it is necessary to return to the roots of the Christian faith and rethink its foundations. The points of reference for Christianity are biblical revelation on the one hand and historical wisdom on the other. This paper will focus on a group of people who advocated and practiced a post-religious and post-Christian era in church history. They are the Anabaptist`s of the 16th century Reformation. It will focus on their understanding of the state and political participation, as well as their worship practices and mission. Although their view of the state and their approach to political participation in the post-religious era seems to have been settled in Western and Korean societies through the principle of separation of church and state, it is still relevant in situations where people identify their Christian faith with the state, ethnicity, and political parties, and their non-violent approach to participation is particularly relevant. There are also deep implications for their public theology and practice, as well as for worship and mission within the church. A shift from Sunday worship, chapel-centered and pastor-centered to everyday worship and active participation of believers is the direction that Korean Protestant churches should aim for.
