Abstract
In this study, we researched the accuracy and consistency of repeated statement in investigation contexts. To accomplish these purposes, we look into the statement of tellers who tell the truth or false as time passed and the subject of research are 60 students. The participants watched the videos about crimes in first-person. All participants had stated the case as true or false and stated again after one weeks later. We analyzed the differences of previous and subsequent statement. Also, we compared memory process between the honest and deceptive statement. As a result, No differences between previous reported amount and subsequence reported amount. This result revealed both truth tellers and liars. Compared with the previous, Truth tellers more reported false information and less reported correct information in subsequence interview. liars more reported deception in subsequence statement than previous statement. And, on the consistency between statements, True teller has more higher than liars. Also, the amount of information about maintain and deletion, correct information is the highest. But the about additional information, can be seen more correct information in truth tellers but more deceptive information in liars. Therefore, based on these result, find ways for improvements of quantity and quality of statement and this findings provides insight and understanding for future direction of research about repeated statement.
