본 연구는 문화예술향유활동을 관람과 참여로 구분하여 각 활동에서 향유자가 느끼는 만족도를 비교하였다. 만족감을 비교하는 이유는 향유자의 만족 정도가 문화향유 빈도수와 자발성에 영향을 미치기 때문이다. 즉 연구에서는 참여와 관람의 여가 만족도 비교를 통해 향유자가 자발적 그리고 반복적으로 선택할 것으로 예상하는 문화향유방식을 탐구했다. 분석 결과, 문화예술활동 참여자는 문화예술 관람자보다 여가 만족이 높으며, 자기계발과 자기만족을 위해 문화예술을 향유했다. 또한 문화예술 활동 동기가 명확하고 장기적인 목적을 가질수록 참여자가 될 가능성이 컸다. 본 연구 결과가 시사하는 바는 만족도가 높은 문화예술참여활동이 향유계층의 확장에 긍정적인 영향을 끼칠 수 있다는 것이다. 향유층을 확장하는 데 문화예술참여자의 특성을 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The study distinguishes engagement in artistic activities into two categories, attendance and participation, and compares general satisfaction by type of engagement. The reason for this comparison is because satisfaction level with artistic activities influences its frequency and spontaneity. Therefore, by comparing the satisfaction levels of attendance and participation, the study investigates the artistic activities which participants are likely to pursue voluntarily and repeatedly. The results notes higher general satisfaction from participants, who pursue self-development and self-satisfaction. Also, it is more likely those who hold clear and long term goals in artistic activities will become a participant. The study results implies that participative artistic activities that have high satisfaction rates may exert a positive influence on expanding the number of people who enjoy artistic activities.
