타자와의 공감은 오늘날 한국사회의 화두이다. 특히 살아있는 교회는 사회와 공감하며 복음을 삶으로 살아내는 교회이다. 논문은 현대 한국교회가 지닌 사회적 도전에 대한 하나의 교회론적 대답을 제시하고자 한다. 그리고 이를 ‘공감교회론’(A Ecclesiology of compassion)이라 정의한다. 논문은 다음과 같이 전개될 것이다. 먼저, 본 논문은 2장에서 한국사회에서 다양한 말로 혼용되는 공감을 먼저 다룬다. 이를 통해서 공감이라는 개념을 더욱 세밀하게 드러내려 한다. 또한 셸러가 펼치는 공감의 이해를 바탕으로 철학적 자리매김(II.1)과 공감교회론이 차지하는 신학사적, 교회론적 자리매김(II.2)을 시도한다. 연구에 대한 교회론적 대답은 다음과 같다. 1) 공감교회론은 시대의 요구이다. 현대인들의 삶과 공감하지 못하는 교회는 위기에 놓이게 된다. 2) 공감교회론은 교회 자신이 처한 삶의 정황을 출발점으로 삼는다. 교회론은 에클레시아가 실존하는 구체적인 삶의 현실을 고려해야 한다. 3) 공감교회론은 교회의 삶에 조언과 미래의 청사진을 제공할 수 있는 교회론을 추구한다. 그렇기에 공감교회론은 구체적이고 체계적인 조언을 제공하려 시도한다. 마지막 3장에서는 논문에 대한 요약과 함께, 이를 바탕으로 이 후에 전개될 수 있는 교회론적 내용을 전망한다.
Abstract
The empathy with others is the critical and central issue of Korean society today. In particular, the living church is a church that empathizes with society and energizes the gospel as a life. The paper aims to present an ecclesiological answer to the social challenges of the modern Korean church. And this is defined as “the ecclesiology of compassion.” The paper will be developed as follows. First this paper deals with the terminology of the 'empathy' or 'sympathy' that are mixed in various words in Korean society, in the Chapter 2. This is expected to reveal the concept of empathy or sympathy more specifically and concretely. In addition, based on the understanding of Max Scheler's sympathy theory, it attempts to establish a philosophical deposition of the ecclesiology of compassion (II.1), and the position of the ecclesiology of compassion in the theological history and in the ecclesiological understanding in general (II.2). The ecclesiological answers to the study are as follows: 1) The ecclesiology of compassion is a demand of the times. If the church cannot empathize with the lives of people in the modern society, it will be facing itself in crisis. 2) The ecclesiology of compassion sets the context of the concrete life of the church as its starting point. The ecclesiology must take into account the concrete and specific circumstances of life in which the ecclesia (or the church) is situated. 3) The ecclesiology of compassion seeks to be the ecclesiology that can provide advice and future blueprints to the life of the church. Therefore, the ecclesiology of compassion attempts to provide concrete and systematic advice. The last and the third chapter summarizes the theses, and based on this, the ecclesiological contents that can be developed later will be described.
