미술관 전시공간에서 작품특성에 따른 벽의 배치 및 구성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 벽을 통해 전시가 이루어지는 회화위주의 전시공간을 대상으로 물리적 속성을 중심으로 이루어진 것으로 벽에 대한 작품을 배치하는 요소들을 전문가 집단인 전시 작가를 대상으로 조사하였다. 연구방법으로는 비구조적 설문지를 토대로 실제 전시작가에게 심층 인터뷰 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 전시작가로서 지금까지 자신들이 전시한 공간에 대해서 작품크기와 전시공간규모, 작품의 장르와 전시공간규모, 배치의 적절성, 폐쇄적 공간의 조화성, 관람동선의 적절성, 작품배치와 벽 밀도의 상관성, 가변형 벽의 필요성에 대해서는 상당히 만족하고 있었다. 반면에, 전시공간의 입구와 출구 위치, 벽면의 비례적 구성에서 만족하지 않았으며 미로공간형의 전시공간은 좋지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 작품배치의 효과성, 전시공간연계의 효과성에도 만족하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This research was focused on the spatial configuration in a wall display space of modern art museum. It was conducted a survey of the 33 artists of exhibition by ill-structured questionnaire. The contents of questionnaire was follows: the relation in characteristics of works, wall composition and spectator’s behavior in exhibition space. The following was the results obtained: The artists were satisfied with the characteristics of works and exhibition space, arrangement, harmony of openness and closeness, wall-density and variable space. On the other hand, they were dissatisfied in the place of entrance and exit, proportional wall composition, effectiveness of work arrangement, variable small-path exhibition space and connected space production.
