초등 문학교육에서 서사교육의 방향

탈근대 시대에 서사는 문학 영역 내의 한 범주명에 국한되지 않고, 인간이 세계를 인식하는방식으로 그 위치를 재정립하고 있다. 그리고 문학교육에서도 서사교육을 정립하고자 하는 담론들이 펼쳐지고 있다. 본고에서는 이러한 경향 속에서 문학교육 내에서 서사교육의 정립이 갖는의미를 탐색하고, 초등 문학교육에서 서사교육의 방향을 제시하였다. 소설교육에서 서사교육으로의 전환은 ‘문학텍스트에 대한 해석’에서 ‘문학을 통한 삶의 해석’으로의 변화로 설명할 수 있다. 기존의 소설교육이 소설 자체에 대한 교육에 초점이 있었다면, 서사교육은 서사능력을 통한 삶의 해석에 초점을 둔다. 그리고 이 과정에서 여전히 문학은 중요한역할을 담당하게 된다. 초등 문학교육에서도 이러한 학문적 동향을 적극적으로 수용할 필요가 있다. 본고에서는 초등문학교육의 현 위치를 짚어 보고 초등 문학교육에서 서사교육이 나아갈 방향을 ‘서사를 통한 정체성 형성 교육’, ‘음성언어를 통한 서사교육’, ‘통합적 관점의 서사교육’, ‘아동문학 성장서사의적극적 수용’으로 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to propose the direction for narrative education in elementary literature education. Above all I explore the significance of narrative education in literature education. Unlike novel education focusing on teach the concepts or theory, literary works, Narrative education could teach students how to interpret the life of them. Because narrative is not only a kind of art forms, but a kind of thought that human use to recognize the world. Based on this significance of narrative education, this paper proposes the following as a desirable direction for narrative education to teach elementary students so that : first, we have to teach students how to interpret themselves and help them form their identity; second, we have to teach oral narratives with character narrative; third, we have to teach narratives in terms of integration; fourth, we have to accommodate children’s literature as the valuable texts for narrative education.
