초등학생용 자원순환교육 교재의 개발 및 적용

본 연구는 초등학교 현장에 자원순환을 확산하기 위하여 초등학교 학년군별 자원순환교육 교재를 개발하여 초등학생의 환경친화적 태도에 대한 효과성을 분석한 연구이다. 이를 위해 자원순환, 핵심역 량 및 교재화와 관련된 문헌 연구와 초등학생 및 초등교사를 대상으로 자원순환교육에 대한 요구도 분 석을 실시하였다. 이러한 기초연구를 바탕으로 초등핵심역량을 기반으로 한 자원순환교육의 목표와 내 용을 구조화하였다. 2015 개정교육과정에서 제시된 환경교육 교과역량을 바탕으로 하여, 자원순환 내 용을 예방, 감량화, 재사용, 수리와 수선, 재활용의 5R 단계를 적용하되, 재사용과 다른 개념으로 새사 용으로 부각되는 Upcycling에 대한 자원순환교육의 관심과 가치를 고려하여 Upcycling 영역을 추가 하였다. 이와 같은 자원순환교육 분석틀을 바탕으로 2015 개정교육과정의 성취기준에 따른 초등 ‘자 원순환’ 교육 내용을 도덕, 사회, 수학, 과학, 실과, 미술 교과 중심으로 분석하여, 학교현장에서 체계 적이고 균형있는 자원순환교육을 할 수 있도록 교재를 개발하였다. 전문가 검토를 통하여 수정된 교재 에 대한 효과성을 분석한 결과, 수업에 참여한 학생들은 자원순환사회를 위한 환경친화적 태도 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 자원순환뿐만 아니라 환경 전반에 대해 관심과 실천의지를 갖게 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 교재는 학교 현장에서 자원순환교육의 확산을 위해 교과 및 창의적 체험활동 및 방과 활동에서 활용이 가능할 것으로 보인다. 그리고 본 연구를 기초로 학교급 및 학년군을 고려하여 학생 수준에 적합한 자원순환교육과 관련한 다양한 교재들이 개발되어 학교현장에 서 자원순환교육이 확산이 될 수 있도록 후속연구가 진행되어야 할 것으로 보인다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of elementary school student`s pro-environmental attitude through developing resource circulation education textbooks by elementary school grade group for spreading resource circulation in elementary school field. For this, previous literature researches related to resource circulation, core competencies and teaching materials, and a demand analysis for resource circulation education textbooks were conducted. Through such basic researches, the goals and contents of resource circulation education based on elementary core competencies was structured, and the analysis framework for resource circulation education was developed. The analysis framework for resource circulation education applied the 6R stages of Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle, and Upcycle. By using this analysis framework, the contents of elementary resource circulation education according to the achievement criteria of the 2015 revised curriculum are analyzed based on focusing on moral, social, mathematics, science, and practical arts subjects. And then, A textbook was developed to provide a systematic and balanced resource circulation education at school fields. As result of analyzing the effectiveness of the revised textbooks through expert review, the students who participated in the class had a positive effect on the pro-environmental attitude for resource circulation, and also improved their interest in the environment and a willingness to practice. Therefore, it seems that the textbooks developed in this study can be used in curriculum, creative experiential activities and after-school activities to spread the resource circulation education in the school field. Based on this study, further research should be conducted to develop various textbooks linked to resource circulation education that are appropriate for student`s level considering the school and the grade so that the education for resource circulation education should be spread in the school field.
