Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to explore the possibility of the mirror neurons theory for the explanation of reader's reading behavior. Mirror neurons reflects the behavior of others Just like mirror, so it is called imitation. There is also an aspect of mirror neurons involved in the reader's understanding of the text. Mirror neurons are part of the brain. When a person recognizes another person's behavior, the mirror neuron is activated like an activated neuron that causes another person's behavior. The activation of the mirror neuron understands other people's behavior intentions, behavior goals, behavioral content, and feelings associated with behavior. From the perspective of a mirror neuron, a reader's mirror neuron understands text by imitating the author, the speaker in the text, the person in the text, and the neuron activation of the other reader. Mirror neuron theory suggests the reader's understanding of behavior as follows. First, reading occurs based on neuronal action. Second, reading learning relies on the imitation of neurons. Third, text understanding is achieved based on shared multiplicit . Fourth, the reader constitutes meaning by mutual subjectivity. Fifth, reading takes place through the involvement of the body. Understanding of reader’s reading behavior enhances the success of reading education. the variety of research for reading, it will be possible to have an effective reading education.
