1918년 11월, 제1차 세계대전은 종결 100주년을 맞이한다. 오랜 동안 세 르비아는 제1차 세계대전을 일으킨 주요 동인이자 진원지로 국제 사회에 낙인되어왔다. 하지만최근들어 당시제1차세계대전발발근원에대한 여러 논쟁이 가열되고 있다. 제 1차 세계 대전의 발발 동기에 대해선 이를 연구하는 학자들 대다수가 동의하고 있지만 그 책임론과 근본적 원인에 대 해서만큼은 여전히 논란의 여지가 남아 있다. 주요 논쟁중 하나는 보스니아 사라예보에서 세르비아 청년에 의한 총격 사건이 일어날 수밖에 없었던 당 시 시대적 상황과 국제역학구도의 불안정성에 초점이 맞추어지고 있다. 국 제사적 관점에서 세르비아 역사가들은 제1차 세계대전의 근원이 19세기 오 스트리아의 전략적 ‘동진 정책’과 보스니아 지배 전략에 기인하고 있음을 주목하고 있다. 특히 1908년 오스트리아의 보스니아 합병은 당시 발칸 반도를 둘러싸고 급변하던 국제 역학 구도와 맞물려 보스니아에서 세르비아와 오스트리아 간 충돌로 이어졌으며 이것이 제1차 세계대전을 촉발하게 되었 음을 강조하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 세르비아의 시각과 국제사적 관점을 바 탕으로 제1차 세계대전의 근원에 대한 재검증을 시도하고 내용을 분석하고 자 한다.
Abstract
In November 1918, the First World War celebrates its 100th anniversary. For a long time, Serbia has been stigmatized by the international community as a major epicenter of the First World War. There are, however, many controversies over the origins of the outbreak of the First World War. The motivation for the outbreak of the First World War is agreed by many scholars who study it, but there remains some controversy over its responsibilities and origins. One of the major controversies is about the instability of the situation and international mechanism which was inevitable ‘the Sarajevo shootout’ by Serbian in Bosnia. Serbian historians note that the origins of the First World War originated in the 19th century Austrian strategic ‘Eastward Policy’ and governance strategies for Bosnia. In particular, Serbian emphasized the Austria’s annexation of Bosnia in 1908 with the rapidly changing international mechanism surrounding the Balkans led to the clash between Serbia and Austria in Bosnia, and that this has sparked the First World War. In this study, I try to re-verify the origin of the First World War and analyze its content based on the perspective Serbia and International history.
