Abstract

Firstly, this paper looks at the situation of Covid-19 in V4 and responses of the governments and central banks in four countries against it, and identifies that the virus, which threatens human life and health, has an even more devastating effect on the economy. At the same time, it is assumed that Covid-19 could become a “game changer” that paralyzes and distorts regional and global supply chains, changing the rules of operation of the economy that have been taken for granted. Therefore, this paper draws up several scenarios for what will happen post-Covid 19 period, and predicts the relations between Korea and V4 based on them. In addition, this paper stresses that it is high time for Korea to deviate from the standardized scheme of temporarily increasing and decreasing exports after large-scale investments, and to deviate an alternative strategy for promoting exports to V4.
