『通信敎授日語講義錄』考察

Abstract

This paper aims to inquire into the learning magazine "Correspondence Lecture Note for Japanese Study," which was first published in February 1911. This Japanese learning magazine was published for the beginning Japanese learners at that time. It is an important material which helps us to understand the Japanese learning contents of the earlier Japanese colonial period. This paper compares the Japanese learning process of that period with that of the present time. Concretely, it reviews this magazine's learning contents under the classification of characters, phonemes, grammar, vocabulary, and conversation. This paper's inquiry into the magazine targets the first and the third issue. This magazine tries to explain Japanese learning contents to the learners whose mother tongue is Korean on the basis of Korean phonological structures, vocabulary, and grammar. This kind of Japanese learning magazine is considered as a basic material for the study of Korean and Japanese, and it calls for more further research.
