In poèma Moscow-Petushki, Venedict Erofeev demonstrated the process of social conflict between Culture 1 and Culture 2, using the mythological semantic structures ‘home’ and ‘road.’ This article discusses how the ‘home’ and ‘road’ are manifested in the variations of postmodernism in Erofeev’s poem, which is considered to be “the pretext of Russian postmodernism.” To this end, the first chapter of article explores the relationship between the semantic structures ‘road-journey’, which can be traced in East Slavic tales, with a poem. Chapters 2-4 analyze in detail the conflict between Culture 1 and Culture 2, as well as the semantic structures ‘road-journey’ in Moscow-Petushki.
