This article discusses the connection of Russian literature of the XX century with Slavic mythology, namely, the reflection of the mythmes fire and water in the camp literature and, in particular, in the works of Varlam Shalamov. The first chapter is devoted to the analysis of the mythmes fire associated with the image of Moscow and the motives of home and nostalgia. The second chapter explores the mythmes water and its relationship with the motives of life, death, hard frost and punishment.
Abstract
