Abstract

In this article, I would like to enter into a dispute over the founding congress of the Korean Communist Party. From what has been discussed above, I can conclude that the founding congress of the KCP was spearheaded by the Organization Bureau in Seoul and officials of the Eastern Bureau of Comintern, including G.N.Voitinski. They built a cooperative system through unofficial channels outside the formal organizations of Comintern. Secondly I can conclude that eighteen representatives were identified by the earlier studies with only one exception. And third, the party platform was not adopted at the founding congress not because representatives had barely enough time, but because there was some dissent within the representatives on this issue. While the members of Hoayopa communist group kept emphasizing on the theory of the proletarian revolution and soviet republic, the members of Bukpungpa and Shanghai-pa communist groups were the firm believers in the theory of national liberation and democratic revolution and democratic republic.
