고려시대 새로운 영역의 연구에서 사료와 개념체계의 관계― 실제 사례를 통한 고찰

근현대에 이루어진 고려시대에 대한 새로운 연구성과에 중요한 작용을 한 것 중에는 일련의 개념들로 구성된 개념체계가 있다. 개념체계는 사관이나 이론에서 파생되어 주관성과 가설적 성격이 큰 것들도 있지만, 그렇지 않은 것들도 존재한다. 후자에 해당하는 것으로는 ㈎객관적 사실에 입각한 개념체계와 ㈏연구대상 당시의 핵심적 개념체계, 두 가지가 주목된다. 검증에 충분한 객관적인 사실들에 근거한 논리적으로 합당한 개념체계에 입각할 때에 사료의 해석 및 이용이 제대로 되고, 사실 파악도 제대로 될 수 있다. 그와 달리 불완전한 개념체계에는 그것으로는 파악될 수 없는 사실들이 존재하는 범위인 개념체계의 사각지대가 존재한다. 개념체계의 사각지대에 들어가는 사실들을 포함한 사료는 제대로 해석될 수 없고, 사료로서 이용되지 못한 채 방치되곤 한다.
Abstract
The conceptual frameworks are one kind of the elements which have been introduced by modern or contemporary historians, and have been important bases in the new study accomplishments on the Koryŏ dynasty history. Some of them are derived from theories or specipic views of history, and the others are not. The former concepts have unavoidably subjective or hypothetical thoughts. The latter concepts are found as ones based on objective facts or ones that were the important conceptual framework in the times of the Koryŏ dynasty. With the conceptual framework that is based on sufficient objective facts to be verified and is logical, we are able to avoid mistakes in interpretation of the historical materials and in finding out the facts. In the incomplete conceptual framework, there are conceptual blind spots where some differences of facts are not able to be distinguished. Some of the historical materials containing the fact that is in the conceptual blind spot are interpreted incorrectly or the others are left indifferently not to be used in the study.
