Abstract

In this thesis one of the major characteristics of Shim Hwan-ji's Sino-Korean poetry was identified as the style of the poetry of Cheongdam and analyzed the literary achievement and political meaning. He was the leader of the Nolon Byeogpa and later ascended to the position of yeonguijeong. He wrote Sino-Korean poetry with Cheongdam's political implication, while Kim Jongsu wrote Sino-Korean poetry with Cheongui's in order to criticize royal Pungsan Hong family's politics. Kim wrote literary writings to correspond the sacrifice of the Nolon Cheonglyu with later Han's Cheongui. Shim wrote to correspond him with Cheongdam. Looking at the characteristics of the works in detail, Shim's Sino-Korean poetry exposed the conceptual words in Jeongsi era directly, reproduced the theme of the Cheongdam with the shaping of hiding after retirement, drinking, arbitrary life. In addition, in order to justify his position in adverse political situation, he expressed the orientation of hiding after retirement, and sungyeong and used it politically. It can be said that the purpose of the WeiJin Cheongdam, which appeared at Shim's Sino-Korean poetry, was the work of constructing the literary symbol to obtain the political legitimacy through the WeiJin Cheongdam literary style through the use of the image of nolon Cheonglyu in Yeongjo era.
