통합 체육수업이 초등학생의 장애학생에 대한 수용태도 및 인식에 미치는 영향

이 연구의 목적은 통합 체육수업 경험이 초등학생의 장애학생에 대한 수용태도 및 인식도에 미치는 영향을 규명하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 수도권 및 호남권에 소재한 초등학교 5~6학년 남․여 학생을 모집단으로 설정하였고, 유의적 표집(purposive sampling) 방법을 통해 통합 체육수업 경험이 있는 학생 400명, 경험이 없는 학생 400명 총 800명을 연구 대상으로 선정하여 장애학생에 대한 일반학생의 수용태도와 인식도에 관해 설문조사하였으며 다음과 같은 결론을 얻 었다. 첫째, 장애학생에 대한 수용 태도 및 인식도는 성별 비교에서는 여학생이, 학년별 비교에서는 5학년 학생이 높게 나타났으나, 지역별로는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 장애학생에 대한 수용 태도는 통합 체육수업을 받고 있는 여학생 집단과 5학년 학생이 가장 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 장애학생에 대한 인식도는 통합 체육을 받고 있는 5학년 학생 집단이 가장 높게 나타났다. 이상을 종합해 보면, 장애 학생에 대한 인식과 수용태도는 남학생보다는 여학생이, 6학년 학생보다는 5학년 학생이, 통합 체육수업을 경험하지 못한 학생보다는 경험한 학생들이 장애학생에 대해 더 긍정적인 수용태도와 인식을 가지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 통합체육수업을 통해 장애 학생에 대한 일반학생의 수용 태도를 긍정적으로 변화시킬 수 있으며, 인식도도 함께 긍정적인 방향으로 변화를 가져올 수 있다는 사실을 알 수 있었다. 하지만, 이 연구의 결과에 나타난 6학년 학생과 남학생이 장애학생 학생에 대해 가지고 있는 부정적 태도를 개선시킬 수 있는 다양한 초등학교용 체육프로그램의 개발(교사의 전문성 신장, 장애학생에 대한 이해 교육, 통합체육프로그램의 개발 및 보급 등)이 시급하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of inclusive physical education and the receptive attitudes and perceptions of elementary school students toward disabled students. This study examined eight hundred 5th and 6th grade elementary school students from the Metropolitan area of Honam. The collected data were processed using SPSS WIN 12.0. After the means and the standard deviations were obtained for each group, which showed quantitative differences in the receptive attitudes and perceptions, data were analyzed through a t-test, a one-way ANOVA, and a post‐hoc test. From the results of the analyses, the following conclusion has been drawn: First, there was a statistically significant difference in the receptive attitude toward the disabled students according to gender (t=-2.908, p<.01) and grade (t=3.537,p<.01). but there was no statistically significant difference according to regional groups; Second,there was a statistically significant difference in the perception toward the disabled students according to the gender (t=-2.611, p<.01) and grade (t=4.142, p<.01), but there was no statistically significant difference by regional groups; Third, there was a statistically significant difference in the receptive attitude toward the disabled students according to the experience of participating in an integrated physical education class in according to gender (F=4.051, p<.01) and grade(F=6.418, p<.01); and Fourth, there was a statistically significant difference in the perception toward disabled students by grade (F=6.759, p<.01) according to the experience of participating in an integrated physical education class, but there was no differences in gender.
