DBAE에 기초한 유아미술 프로그램의 개발 및 적용 효과

초록

본 연구는 DBAE에 기초한 통합적 접근의 미술 프로그램을 개발하고 그 적용을 통해 유아의 미 술능력에 미치는 영향을 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 DBAE의 4가지 내용영역과 통합적 유아교육의 접근을 이론적 근거로 하여 유아미술 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 프로그램은 유아의 미술능력 신장을 목표로 하고, DBAE의 4개 내용영역과 중심작품, 그리고 미술장르를 근원으로 하여 전체 교육과정의 생활주제와의 연관성을 고려한 내용으로 개발되었다. 프로그램의 실행에 있어 교수․학습과정은 감상 및 탐색, 탐구 및 구상, 작품제작 및 전시, 감상 및 평가의 4단계 과정으로 구성되었다. 본 프로그램에서 교사의 역할은 DBAE의 4개의 내용영역에 대한 지적인 이해를 기반으로 하여 동기 유발자, 환경의 구성 및 자료 제공자 안내자, 상호작용자, 평가자 등이며 창의적이고 허용적인 분위기에서 유아를 존중하며 적극적인 태도로 프로그램을 적용시키는 것이다. 이와같이 개발된 프로그램은 1 주일을 단위로 총 14주의 프로그램으로 구성․적용하여 사전․사후 검사를 통해 미술능력 발달에 미친 효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 적용 대상은 어린이집의 만 5세 유아 총 50명으로 실험집단 25명, 비교집단 25명으로 구성되었다. 연구의 검사 도구는 미술능력 평가척도를 사용하였으며 자료분석은 SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 t-test와 ANCOVA를 실시하 였다. 연구의 결과, DBAE에 기초한 유아미술 프로그램은 유아의 미술능력을 유의하게 증진시켰으며 그 효과는 미술능력의 하위 요인인 미술활동 과정, 미술표현 능력, 미술 감상능력 모두에 걸쳐 유의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a DBAE-based art program of integrated approaches and examine its effects on young children’s art abilities through applying the program. For this purpose, we developed an art program for young children based on the four content areas of DBAE and the integrated approach to early childhod education as its theoretical grounds. The program was aimed to enhance children’s art abilities and was developed basically with the four content areas of DBAE, central works and art genres and in consideration of relevancy to life themes in the curricula. In executing the program, the teaching-learning course was composed of four steps–appreciation and investigation, inquiry and design, work creation and exhibition, and appreciation and evaluation. In the program, the teacher plays the roles of motivator, environment creator, material provider and guide, interaction partner, and evaluator based on intellectual understanding of the four content areas of DBAE. In addition, the teacher respects children in a permissive atmosphere and applies the program in an active attitude. The program developed through the procedure was composed of weekly tasks and executed for 14 weeks, and its effects on children’s art abilities were analyzed through a pretest and a posttest. The subjects of this study were 50 five-year-old children at a childcare center, who were divided into an experimental group (n=25) and a control group (n=25). The research tool used in this study was the Art Ability Scale, and collected data were analyzed through a t-test and ANCOVA using SPSS 12.0. According to the results, the DBAE-based art program for young children improved the children’s art abilities significantly, and the effect was significant in all the sub-factors of art abilities, which are the art activity process, art expression ability, and art appreciation ability.
