신간회 결성에 끼친 《개벽》의 영향― 민족협동전선론의 대중적 전파와 확산을 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to visualize the influence of 《Gaebyeok》 in the process of organizing Singanhoe, Japanese colonial era's largest anti-Japanese public association. Specifically, it deduced the contribution of the media 《Gaebyeok》 in terms of popular spread and propagation of the national cooperation front theory, which was the basis of the formation of Singanhoe. And it tried to make 《Gaebyeok》 meaningful as its role model in terms of the previous history of the national cooperation front(Singanhoe) and also tried to find ways to follow the traces of 《Gaebyeok》 imprinted on the Singanhoe in terms of a way of organizing the association. For this, the popular declaration of the national cooperation front theory(June 1925), the discontinuance of 《Gaebyeok》(August 1925), and the formation of Singanhoe (February 1927) are examined from the perspective of mutual relevance. At the same time, based on the mediality of 《Gaebyeok》, it tried to put on a public opinion-media costume in the continuous process. This was caused by the purpose of supplementing the bias of the organizational movement centered on the existing 'Shinganhoe research', and examining the media autonomy of 《Gaebyeok》, which was not examined by '《Gaebyeok》 study' or 'Cheondogyo study'. The influence of 《Gaebyeok》 on the formation of Shinganhoe is a matter that encompasses both the dimension of discourse and organizational structure, but in this paper, the emphasis is placed on the former dimension of the popular spread and propagation of the national cooperative front theory. However, by stating that many of the distribution-related persons in 《Gaebyeok》 were local members of Singanhoe, and by securing a list of about 300 members of 'Gaebyeoksa (publishing company) Expansion Foundation', it left clues as to the direction of future research.
