음악교과 창의성 교육에 대한 교사의 인식조사: 광주･전남 지역의 초등 교사를 중심으로

본 연구는 초등학교 교사들의 창의성 교육에 대한 인식을 살피고자 시작되었다. 특히 음악과 교육 내 창의성 교육에 대한 이들의 인식이 어떠한지 살펴보는데 그 중점을 두었다. 이를 위해 2012년 3월부터 5월까지 2개월간 광주광역시 및 전라남도 관내 초등학교에 근무하는 교사들에게 설문지를 보내 회수된 115장(회수율 76.67%; 남38, 여77)의 설문지를 대상으로 분석에 사용하였다. 조사결과 창의적 음악수업 진행에 필수적인 음악적 소양이 교사들에게 결핍된 상태로 나타났고, 창의성 교육의 필요성과 음악 교과목을 이용한 창의성 신장 방안에 대해선 매우 긍정적인 입장을 취하면서도 실제 창의적 음악과 수업 및 평가를 어떻게 해야 하는지에 대해선 명확히 의견을 갖고 있지 않았다. 따라서 교육 당국이 제시하고 추구하는 창의성 교육의 소기의 목표를 달성하기 위해서라도 교사들의 창의성 교육관련 재교육이 시급하다고 하겠다.
Abstract
The aim of the study began to know the understanding of creativity education for elementary school teachers in Korea. Especially it focused on their perception of creativity education in music education. For the study a survey had been undertaken from March to May 2012 and the designed questionnaire for the study had been sent to the teachers in Chonnam province and Gwangju metropolitan city. Out of 150 questionnaires, 115 (76.67%) were returned completed. The result of the survey indicates several points that first, the musicianship which is essential for music teachers has been being lack and shortage, second, though the teachers know the necessity of the creativity education and that music education is to be suitable for development of children’s creativity, they have not had any appropriate skills and methods for it. In order to obtain the goal that the ministry of education suggests and pursuits for raising creative children through creative educational strategies and methods, any efforts including retraining school teachers to be equipped to teach or instruct their classes with creative way are very urgent.
