신라 와적기단의 형식과 편년

초록
와적기단은 그 동안 백제의 전유물로 이해되어 왔다 . 그러나 최근 발굴조사의 증가에 따라 신라지역에도 와적기단이 축조되었음을 확인할 수 있다 . 경주를 비롯한 청주 , 부여 등지에서 조사되었으며, 그 형식도 평적식 , 수직횡렬식, 사적식 등 백제의 와적기단과 큰 차이가 없다. 이는 백제의 기단축조술이 신라에 전파되었음을 의미하는 것이라 할 수 있다 . 와적기단이 확인된 신라 유적은 경주 천관사지 및 인왕동 건물지를 비롯해 청주 복대동 건물지 , 부여 정림사지 강당 서편 건물지 등이다 . 향후 발굴조사에 따라 더 많은 유적이 신라의 고토에서 발견될 소지가 있다 . 이들 유적은 건물지 주변에서 출토된 와당으로 보아 6세기 3/4분기～4/4분기부터 9세기대까지의 것으로 판단된다 . 특히 천관사지에서 확인된 사적식 와적기단은 백제의 군수리 폐사지 금당지 남면기단에서 관찰되는 합장식 와적기단과도 일맥 상통하는 것으로 신라 초기의 기단 형식으로 파악된다.
Abstract
usive possesions of Baekje so far.However, in acordance with the increase in recent excavation surveys, we can identify that there were some ough the number is not much. I n t h i s r e g a r d , w e c a n f i n d t h e t r a c e o f t h e p l a t f o r m p i l e d up with roof tiles (Wajeok-gidan) from Cheongwansa Temple site in Gyeongju region, a building site in Inwang-dong, Jeongnimsa Temple site in Buyeo region and a building site in Bokdae-dong of Cheongju. At a glance they lok quite similar to the erms of their paterns such as flat piled pattern, vertically aligned pattern and piled pattern with slope. 60 新羅文化 第 28輯On the one hand, we can judge from the similarity of such patterns of platform that the construction technique of Baekje must have spread over to Shila. But in the case of piled patern with slope, it has never ben excavated from the native teritory of Baekje and therefore it was understood that the pattern was unique patern of platform piled up with rof tiles of Shilla. These platforms piled up with roof tiles seems to be built around from the 3rd quarter to 4th quarter of the 6th century to the 9t century based on the end roof tiles excavated from the pertinent building sites. And at the same time, based on the fact that the platforms piled up with rof tiles apeared in Gyeongju region without showing big diference in age compared with that of Baekje, we can make an inference that the propagation of technology between Baekje and Shila was very active.
