마로니에 공원 이용행태와 만족도 분석을 통한 편의성 증진 방안

Abstract

Background: This study utilizes Marronnier Park as a unit of analysis and a distinctive urban public park. The research aims at providing a reference point to improve convenience, while analyzing use behavior and satisfaction due to sociodemographic characteristics. Methods: A field study consisted of observation and face to face survey was utilized to research use behavior of Marronnier Park. The observation was initiated with two dimensional concerns: (1) a territory-focused observation to analyze a collective use behavior and (2) a component-focused observation to analyze a individual use behavior to the components of park(public space, bench, plantation). A face-to-face survey was conducted to 95 visitors. Result: The study found distinctive characteristics to the territorial and component behavior. In addition, the unconformity between use behavior and behavior affordance was found. In the face-to-face survey, the degree of satisfaction was different due to the sociodemographic characteristics of visitors. Conclusion: In conclusion, the research concludes that: (1) the park physical improvement needs concerns in accordance with the characteristics of use behavior and behavior affordance; and (2) the plan or design upgrade of urban public park needs comprehensive design guidelines, considering the sociodemographic characteristics of visitors.
