구도심 지역 공원 서비스 현황과 노인의 공원이용 만족도에 관한 연구: 성남시를 중심으로

본 연구는 녹색복지 차원에서 생활여건이 상대적으로 낙후된 성남 구도심 지역의 공원 접근성과 안전성 등의 공원서비스 현황을 파악하고, 신도시와의 비교를 통해 노인들의 공원이용 활성화를 위한 환경적 개선점을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 관련 문헌조사 및 GIS 분석을 실시하였으며, 성남시 신·구도시 15개 공원에 대한 현장평가와 노인이용자를 대상으로 한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 구도심의 공원면적은 신도시에 부족한 편이었으며, 대부분의 공원이 산지형 도시공원 형태로 공원접근을 위한 이동시간과 수단, 가파른 경사 등이 공원이용의 장애요인인 것으로 나타났다. 공원시설에 있어서는 신·구도시 모두 유사한 정도의 만족도를 나타냈으나, 노인들의 다양한 활동을 위한 프로그램 제공은 공통적으로 만족도가 낮게 나타났다. 따라서, 구도심 노인들의 일상적 신체활동 및 공원이용 증진을 위해서는 소공원 형태의 공원을 분산배치하여 노인의 공원 일상적 접근성을 높이고 공원 내 다양한 운동 및 문화 프로그램 제공과 효율적인 관리가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate accessibility to parks and park environment for seniors in low-income neighborhoods comparing with those in high-income neighborhoods. Seongnam City was selected for the study due to its distinct differences among old and new towns. Multiple methodology were used including literature review, GIS analysis, detailed audits of 15 parks, and a questionnaire survey. The low-income neighborhoods have lower amounts of park areas and their parks are located in mountain areas with high-sloped path and longer distances for access, which are barriers for seniors to park uses. There was no significant differences in park facilities and amenities among the neighborhoods. In order to promote physical activity and park use of the elderly in low-income neighborhoods, it is necessary to provide nearby parks for seniors’ easy access and various activity programs in parks so that the elderly can participate activities and foster sense of community.
