On this thesis, I have considered the unit of phonological alternation in Reading and Grammar textbook that was developed according to 2011 curriculum. There are six sort Reading and Grammar textbooks. I checked the property of the term kyoche that is used in classification on phonological alternation. The term of kyoche is used as a concept of alternation in phonology as scholar grammar, but is used as a concept of substitution in all of six sort textbooks. So I checked a veridity of classification as focusing on a property of the term kyoche. And I compared and analyzed phonological phenomena that is contained in six sort textbooks. I analyzed not difference itself but also differences that is able to be problematic in point of view of phonology generally, as I basically respect spirit of screening system, because six sort textbooks was developed under screening system. we cannot say it is problematic that A textbook includes some phonological alternation but B textbook doesn’t include it. Because it is able to be problematic that A textbook includes some phonological alternation, if that alternation isn’t managed generally in phonology as scholar grammar. Judgement criteria whether is problematic is that an explanation of phonological alternation is accepted generally in phonology as scholar grammar. If it isn’t accepted generally, I judged it is problematic. As this way, I compared and analyzed unit of phonological alternation in six sort of Reading and Grammar textbooks.
