행복과 사회적 경제: 시민경제학의 문제의식을 중심으로

시민경제학은 관계재에 바탕을 둔 행복경제학을 제시함으로써 이스털린의 역설에 대한 하나의 답변을 제공한다. 다만 시민경제학은 관계재가 생산․소비되는사회적 경제 영역을 중시하면서도 자본주의적 시장경제의 사익추구 행위 자체를부정하지 않는다. 그렇지만 자본주의 시장경제는 사회적 경제 영역을 복원하도록허용하기보다는 오히려 구축할 가능성이 높다. 그렇다면 시민경제학의 타당성이자본주의 시장경제와 사회적 경제의 공존 가능성 여부에 달려 있을 것이며, 관계재에 바탕을 둔 행복경제학 또한 두 영역의 공존 가능성에 따라 논리적․현실적타당성 여부가 결정될 수 있을 것이다. 궁극적으로 이것은 자본주의 시장경제가작동되는 상황에서 사회적 경제 영역을 어떻게 복원․확산할 수 있는가의 문제로요약될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The Civil Economy provides an answer to Easterlin's paradox by suggesting economics of happiness based on relational goods. It emphasizes the social economic sphere in which relational goods are produced and consumed, but does not deny the pursuit of private interests of the capitalist market economy. However the capitalist market economy is more likely to crowd out rather than allow the restoration of the social economy sphere. If then, the validity of the civil economy will depend on the possibility of coexistence of capitalist market economy and social economy. And the same will be true of the logical and realistic validity of the economics of happiness. Ultimately, this issue can be summarized as a question of how to restore and spread the social economy sphere within the capitalist market economy.
