『太平記』の混種語の結合パターンと構成要素について

Abstract

This study investigates combination pattern, characteristic of constituent and productive constituent extracting Hybrid Words from Taiheiki. First of all, combination pattern of Hybrid Words is divided into 11 kinds and the productive type that coins Hybrid Word is the form of Chinese origin + Japanese origin accounting for more than 80 percent. Secondly, observing the distribution of the part of speech according to combination pattern, whereas the form of Japanese origin + Chinese origin tends to be concentrated to noun, the form of Chinese origin + Japanese origin produces diverse Hybrid word of part of speech. Thirdly, the majority of the element of Japanese origin forming Hybrid Word is content word which represents substantial contents of things whereas a number of the form of Chinese origin is free morpheme that can be used as a word independently. Finally, the characteristic of constituent which produces many Hybrid Words with strong coinage ability is that a lot of the form of Japanese origin are content word and all of the form of Chinese origin are free morpheme.
