한시 대중화, 그 독자층에 관한 고민

한시는 현대시처럼 시인과 독자사이의 일대일 만남이 가능한 분야가 아니다. 따라서 ‘번역’이라는 다리를 통해 양 방향에서 균형을 잡고 ‘제대로’ 전달해야하는 이들의 역할은 매우 중요하다. 이를 감안한다면 한시를 포함한 한문학 전공자들은 그 자신이 독자이기 이전에 대중독자에게 작품을 소개하고 그 의의를 전달하는 책무를 벗어날 수 없기에 ‘독자’와의 연관성을 반드시 고민해야 할 필요가 있다. 한시 연구자들(번역자를 포함)은 시작품의 作者도 아니면서, 또한 단순한 소개자도 아니다. 끊임없이 독자의 수요심리와 반응을 살펴야 하는 고단한 처지인 셈이다. 번역 작업이 부득이 독자를 의식해야 한다면 ‘대중화’에 대한 고민도 함께 해야할 것이다. ‘한시의 대중화’라는 말은 ‘대중화’가 여의치 않다는 것을 내포한다. 즉한시를 교양으로 읽는 사람들이 많이 없으니, 많이 읽어주길 바란다는 심리가 강하게 들어있다. 읽어주길 바란다면 “읽는 이”, 다시 말해 “독자”에 대한 고민을 차치하면 곤란하다. 이에 본고에서는 그간 고전문학(한시포함)의 대중화, 독자와 관련한 개론적 논의와 세부적 논의들을 정리해보고, 현재 독자들의 성향이나 수요심리 등을 파악할 수 있는 자료를 분석해 보고자 한다.
Abstract
The Chinese character poetry are not poetry possible areas for promotion as a one-to-one meeting between the modern poet and the reader. Therefore, balanced translation is what is important. The Chinese character majors is the position to grasp the psychological needs of the reader in the translation properly. In other words, it is what you want the reader to have to worry presence constantly. The Chinese character poetry translators and researchers nor the author of the work is also not one who simply introduced. If the translation work if you Observe the psychology of readers, and only worry about the popularization should be accompanied too. What it is implied by the popularization of poetry. This still means that has not been popular. It means a lot to expect from the Liberal-dimensional poetry reading cycle. In this situation, it is a worrying disregard for the reader is not a good way. This paper summarized the previous discussions on the popularization of classical literature(Including Chinese character poetry) and to analyze the data to identify the tendencies and psychological needs of the reader.
